With the school holidays upon us and the weather (at least temporarily) much improved, a Summer Box at a special offer price seems like a good idea. So, naturally, I consulted my grandchildren to see what they thought should go in the box. There was much spirited discussion but finally they agreed on the following items:
They want Salted Caramel Fudge, Naked and Peanut Combos because they say they are the best pies to put on ice cream and yoghurt. They also want to add Goji & Pumpkin Seed and Pocket Pies Very Berry and Madly Mandarin because they are fruity which is nice in Summer. The pies will come in a gift box, together with a little pose of herbs for a total cost of £12, which is really good value.

When you receive the box, do put the herbs in water and they will revive.
I went swimming in the sea a couple of days ago for the first time this year. Usually, I take my first plunge in late May (without a wetsuit, that would be cheating). However, what with Covid, G7 and one thing and another, this week has been the first opportunity. There is a lady who swims every single day from Carbis Bay Beach all year round. I certainly don’t have the stamina nor the courage for that but from May to October I do love it.
My favourite place for swimming
I know you will be much relieved to have a photo of a lovely seascape rather than the horror of a 73 year old in her swimmers, which might make your eyes bleed!
A free Wonky Pie continues for one more week with every order, regardless of value.
